Psychoanalyst & Counsellor
My practical knowledge of Mental Health and Counselling is derived from certification as a Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy), drug rehabilitation training and supervised work in Brazil, and experience in managing and counselling at Psychology Australia Mt Lawley from 2000. I have equivalency as a Clinical member of the Psychotherapist and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA). I am a Clinical Member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia. I am a Christian and an ordained pastor. Presently I am teaching part-time at a Christian school in Albany in the second half of the week. In the 80's and 90's I worked as a missionary pastor for 8 years in Brazil with my wife and children. My sending church was Armidale Baptist, NSW, where I completed my PhD at the University of New England. In Brazil I worked as a pastor with a pentecostal Baptist Church. Since coming back to Australia I have worked with several churches including a Brazilian church plant here in Perth. I speak Brazilian Portuguese.
